Male Short Nose Before and After Photos: Male Bulbous Nose Surgery with Thick Skin and Nasal Tip Septal Extension > O.P Column

Hello, this is Dr. Kim Hyung-taek from Kowon Plastic Surgery Clinic.

Today, I would like to introduce a case of male bulbous nose surgery.

In this case, the patient had a very short nasal tip, and the area between the eyebrows was also quite low.

Additionally, the patient had very thick skin that did not easily stretch, which is not ideal for nose surgery.

In such cases, it’s important to thoroughly explain to the patient the limitations of what can be improved through surgery before proceeding.

The patient also had a large amount of soft tissue on the nasal tip, so we removed some of this soft tissue.

We made sure to sufficiently extend the nasal septum and used both septal cartilage and ear cartilage.

We also used a silicone implant about 4-5mm high for the nasal bridge.

The patient mentioned having rhinitis, so we also removed any enlarged tissues if necessary.

After the male bulbous nose surgery, the 45-degree angle view shows that the nasal tip is much more elevated, and the bulky appearance of the nose has improved significantly compared to before.

We extended the nasal tip as much as possible, though there’s still a slightly short appearance, which is a bit unfortunate. However, the patient was very satisfied with the results.

From the bottom view, you can see that the previously thick and bulky-looking nasal tip has become much slimmer.

Without reducing the nostrils, we achieved a narrower, more refined appearance through nasal tip extension and cartilage suturing.

This photo was taken two weeks after the surgery, and although there’s still some swelling, it’s clear that the bulbous appearance has been significantly reduced from the front view.
