Hello, this is Dr. Kim Hyung-taek from Kowon Plastic Surgery Clinic.
Today, I’d like to share a case involving rhinoplasty for a patient with a narrow, high nose with a slight hump.
This patient had previously undergone non-surgical procedures using dissolvable threads and fillers, which were removed before the surgery.
In the pre-surgery photos, you can see that the nasal bridge has a slight curve to the left. While some degree of curvature is common, this patient’s nose had a high bridge with a gradual hump and a narrow width.
To address the slight indentation at the glabella (the space between the eyebrows), a very thin silicone implant was used for enhancement.
The patient desired a very high and elegant nose.
At two weeks post-surgery, the nasal tip is elevated, and the skin is still tight, which can cause a reddish appearance at the tip.
This is normal as the skin gradually adjusts and settles over time.
The previously visible nostrils have been corrected, and the nasal tip is properly elevated.
Over time, the nasal tip may slightly lower as the skin stabilizes, which is a normal part of the healing process.
From the side view, the once prominent hump has been replaced with a sleek, elegant feminine shape.
Please note that the nasal tip may naturally lower slightly over time to achieve a more natural appearance.
