Hello, I am Dr. Kim Hyung-taek from Kowon Plastic Surgery.
Today, I’d like to review a case of a patient who was concerned about a bulbous nose.
This patient had very high expectations.
Many people who come for consultations about bulbous noses often think that the nose will become very small and slim after surgery.
However, even with surgery, the results are based on the patient's existing conditions, so the nose doesn’t change as dramatically as one might expect.
Before the surgery, you can see that the patient’s nose has thick skin and a lot of soft tissue, which makes it difficult to achieve a very small and slim nose.
In the pre-surgery photos, you can observe the thick skin and the fullness at the tip of the nose.
In the post-surgery photos (45-degree angle), the bulbous tip has disappeared, and the nose tip has become more refined.
The photos are taken about two weeks after the surgery, so the scar from the alar base reduction is still visible.
After the surgery, you can see a noticeable reduction and refinement of the nose.
However, compared to someone who naturally has a very small and slim nose, the change may not be as dramatic.
Also, an overly dramatic change might not suit one’s facial features well.
It is important to ensure that the surgery is as natural as possible and tailored to fit the individual’s existing conditions and facial features without overdoing it.
