Rhinoplasty Revision: My positive experience at Kowon Plastic Surgery > Real Review

But first, just a little bit about my previous experience which lead me to Kowon - I had a botched nose job from a previous surgeon in Beverly Hills, California (2018 & 2019). An implant initially was placed in my nose, which was not what was discussed or agreed to prior during consultation. It was only after the surgery I found out an implant was used. Due to my body rejecting this implant, the surgeon made me wait it out a full year before he would do a “revision” (2019). Implant was replaced with rib and ear cartilage, but nothing was done to fix the retracted and pinched right nostril caused by the implant, as explained to me by the surgeon himself. He admittedly acknowledged the deformity, but had no intentions of addressing the major aesthetics issue caused by his negligence during the second surgery, which he also did not disclose. This ultimately resulted with my nose being too short and my nostrils being overly exposed, giving it a “pig nose” effect. It also left my nose with little to no circulation, which I ended up needing stem cell treatments last year (November). I then needed to wait 6-12 months before I could get the rhinoplasty revision.

Now, fast forward to last month at Kowon - I had my pre-op the day I landed in Seoul then my surgery was set for a day later. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Their head management was very involved through the whole process and walked me through every part, before and after my surgery, also keeping in contact with me almost daily during my stay in Seoul for nearly 3 weeks. I loved that I was able to openly reach out to her with any questions and she would respond immediately, providing me with answers and assurance.

Although my case would be extremely complicated and set with many challenges, Dr. Kim managed to perform and execute the surgery in ways that exceeded my expectations. He saw me almost everyday to keep an eye on the immediate progress - his gentle and soft spoken demeanor, even during our pre-op consultation, made me feel assured and confident in his work. He was very detailed as he explained everything to me and made sure to answer every question I had for him. I honestly didn’t think anyone could actually fix my nose, but I was proven otherwise. Dr. Kim was not only able to beautifully restore my nose, but he also restored my confidence I haven’t felt in years. I’m so beyond grateful for his expertise and work. I highly recommend Kowon to anyone seeking rhinoplasty or rhinoplasty revision.
